Give Back This #GivingTuesday

November 27, 2018  •

Kickstart the charitable season by joining the movement and your community for this year’s #GivingTuesday. Celebrated the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (today!), it’s the largest global day of generosity and encourages the public to give back to their communities in a positive way.

Take time today to give – whether that’s a donation, your time, or simply your voice. No matter how big or small, everyone has the ability to help spread good this holiday season, and as Rachael says “Your time is just as valuable as your money,” so don’t feel limited. Hashtag your social media posts #GivingTuesday to support the message of kindness and generosity.

And here’s a bonus way to make an even bigger impact: For eligible US-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits, Facebook and Paypal have offered to match a total of up to $7 million made on Facebook.

If you want to get involved, see what our partners are doing this #GivingTuesday to help make a difference:

No Kid Hungry

In honor of #GivingTuesday, Citi has partnered with No Kid Hungry to match all donations up to $100,000. Help your donation go not two, but three times as far with Facebook’s matching grant for nonprofits. That means there’s the potential to help connect kids with more than 3 million meals this year!

Feeding America

In support of Kroger’s ZeroHunger | Zero Waste social impact plan, this #GivingTuesday they’ve teamed up with Feeding America and are matching your donations up to $200,000. That means your $1 can provide at least 20 meals. The matched meals you help to provide can also be gifted to a friend of your choosing, making this year even more special.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation & FoodCorps

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation and FoodCorps are also accepting donations today. Your dollar will help fund healthier communities and futures for kids across their programs.

City Harvest

Help feed double the New Yorkers today with City Harvest. They’ll be matching up to $100,000 to deliver twice as much food from your donation.

Don’t forget to add the #GivingTuesday hashtag to all your social media posts to join the conversation and see what your friends and family are giving this year!
