Spatulatta.com is a website where where kids teach kids through video recipes! How cool is that?!

Spatulatta presents a fun and compelling website that is helping to foster a whole new generation of young cooks, not only by introducing cooking skills, but also through modeling behavior for using healthy, fresh, basic ingredients. What’s different about this site is that the co-hosts are 11-year-old Isabella Gerasole and 8-year-old Olivia Gerasole, from Evanston, IL. Besides swimming, dancing, ice skating and reading, these two girls love to experience new foods and show other kids how to prepare them.

With its 200+ video recipes organized into meals, healthy snacks and even vegan and vegetarian fare, Spatulatta encourages children to eat well, take pride in their accomplishments in the kitchen and to understand the connection between farm and dinner table. In addition, the videos encourage kids to ask their family members and friends for recipes and to cook those dishes together in order to strengthen intergenerational bonds and tap into the knowlege and experience they can gain from the adults and elders in their families.

If you’re looking for a resource that’s by kids and for kids who want to get cooking in the kitchen, Spatulatta.com is the place for you!
