WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DISH TO MAKE WITH YOUR KIDS AS HELPERS?

Well, I am a kid! I enjoy making sushi, original dishes, apple crisp and desserts. I do cake decorating, too. My favorite food in the world is escargot, but my friends don't like it so I came up with "mock" escargot.

CAN YOU GIVE THE RECIPE?

Yes, I’d love to share it!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Thinly sliced beef tenderloin
  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Parsley
  • 1 baguette

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Slice the baguette into 1/4-inch slices and toast lightly.
  2. Sauté the beef quickly in melted butter.
  3. Add parsley and garlic to taste to make a sauce.
  4. Top the toasted baguette slices with beef and sauce. Enjoy!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CHILDHOOD MEMORY INVOLVING COOKING AND EATING TOGETHER WITH YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS?

My mom and my younger sister and I always cook together. It is hard to eat together with a teenage sister and a paramedic father, but we try. My little sister and I like to be the chefs, waiters and pot washers.

WHAT TIPS OR ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS NEW TO THE KITCHEN OR JUST GETTING THEIR KIDS INVOLVED IN THE KITCHEN?

Be creative. With baking, it is more of a science so you can mess it up, but with cooking, let yourself try new things and you can usually fix mistakes. Cook what you like to eat!
