WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE DISH TO MAKE WITH YOUR KIDS AS HELPERS?

We like to make all kinds of salads!

HOW DO THEY HELP?

They wash the fruit, mix the dressing and even chop the apples.

WHAT TIPS OR ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE WHO IS NEW TO THE KITCHEN OR JUST GETTING THEIR KIDS INVOLVED IN THE KITCHEN?

My daughter loves to help me in the kitchen. She's 8 now and wanted to make her very own cookbook with recipes that she particularly likes to eat and make. So she sat down with a notebook and asked me for each ingredient and how to spell it. She even made an index at the front of her little binder!

I love that she wants to be independent and begin to fix food herself. Now with her own "cookbook," she's well on her way to doing everything herself.
