Healthier Cheese Fondue with Pretzels and Veggies

Serves 4-6

Who doesn’t like fondue?!? This is just a bit healthier than the original and made with some thickened up chicken stock. The mustard gives it a little bite.

Chicks in a Sleeping Bag and Crispy Salad with Mandarin Oranges

Serves 4

Forget pigs in a blanket – check out these chickies! The apricot preserve sauce does double-duty in this recipe as a dip for the chicks and a tangy salad dressing.

Chili Cheese Popcorn

Serves 4-6

An easy, cheesy popcorn snack that can be made in no time at all!

Curried Salt Popcorn

Serves 4-6

An easy popcorn snack with a little Indian twist!

Black Pepper and Parm Cheesy Popcorn

Serves 4-6

An easy, cheesy snack.

White Bean Dip

Serves 2-3

Rachael says, "There’s nothing better than snacking on a good dip – I call them snack’ables! This one is a very basic snack’able that is similar to hummus, but it uses white cannellini beans instead of chickpeas. Dip in your favorite veggies or some nice baked pita chips. Hey, if you don’t have certain herbs on hand, improvise – there aren’t rules in cooking!"

Grape Slushy

Serves 2

On a hot summer day, what better snack is there than popping some frozen grapes in your mouth? They are cool, refreshing and nutritious. We’ve taken frozen grapes to the next level and made a frozen grape slushy – jam packed with fruit to start the day off right.

Bite-Size Antipast-Salad

Serves 4

Easy and colorful, this salad can also be enjoyed over several days while the meats soak up the flavors. Instead of making your own dressing, you can also use bottled Caesar dressing. Antipasto is traditionally the cold foods served before the pasta course at an Italian restaurant or home. This salad mixes it all up together – salami, pepperoni, peppers, artichoke hearts, cheese, olives and lettuce. –RR

Antipa-Sticks

Serves 4-6

These Antipa-Sticks add a little something different to your picnic or tailgate party! Marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers and hot peppers are all available in glass jars on the Italian foods aisle at your grocery store.

Stacked Fruit Sticks

Serves 6

These make a great after school snack or a birthday party treat to pass around. You can also try adding a variety of different fruits to the sticks, such as kiwis, pears, apples or mangos.

Stacked Caprese Sticks

Serves 6

This is like an Italian supper on a stick!

Cajun Crudités

Serves 4

This dish is great as a flavorful, healthy snack or paired with your favorite burger.

Creamy Salsa Dip and Veggies

Serves 4

A great snack idea for all ages. Delish for parties, too! Given the choice of grape or cherry tomatoes, I pick the irregularly shaped, somewhat oblong grape tomatoes because they tend to be a bit meatier and sweeter. –RR

Monique’s Cassava Cake

Serves 8-12

Monique has shared her grandmother’s Cassava Cake recipe with us! At Yum-o!, we believe in all things in moderation. Special treats like this Cassava Cake are to be eaten once in a while and only after you’ve been a good eater the rest of the time. That’s why it’s called a treat! Note: Cassava (also called yuca) is a woody shrub native to South America and has an edible starchy root. The sweet cassavas can be eaten while the bitter kind must be cooked before eaten to remove toxins. Look for edible cassava where Latin American products are sold.

Quick and Easy Pizza Dip

Serves 4

Kids and grown-ups alike will love this healthy pizza dip, and it makes a great party dish! It’s also an excellent substitute for mayo on your favorite sandwich, or you can pack it up for a dip-a-licious lunch box or snack on-the-go.
